Although people consider the Vikings to be fierce warriors, the most famous product of this time is a warrior known as the berserker, Berserkers, who were famous for their rages, were often sent out as shock troops at a start of the battle. They often did not wear armor and used their rage to make them a more effective fighting force. Historians still debate what caused the rages.
